It is with profound disappointment that we announce the cancellation of the One Love Reggae Festival 2026, originally scheduled to take place on 7th, 8th, and 9th August 2026 in Bentota, Sri Lanka.

This has been an incredibly difficult decision. Over the past three months, our team invested significant time, effort, and resources into promoting the festival, securing sponsors, and building what we hoped would become Sri Lanka’s premier reggae music event.

Unfortunately, despite these efforts, ticket sales remained far below the minimum level required to responsibly stage a festival of this scale. At the same time, we were unable to secure the level of sponsorship needed to deliver the high-quality experience that our audience, artists, and partners deserve.

Rather than proceed with an event that would compromise production standards, artist experience, safety, and the expectations of everyone involved, we have made the responsible decision to cancel the August dates.

We understand this news is deeply disappointing, especially to those who purchased tickets and planned to celebrate with us. For that, we sincerely apologize.

All ticket holders will receive a full refund. Refunds will begin immediately and will be completed within 30 days. Detailed refund procedures will be communicated directly through our official channels. We are committed to ensuring that every ticket purchaser receives their refund as quickly and smoothly as possible.

Although the August event will not take place, this is not the end of One Love Reggae Festival 2026.

Our team is actively exploring the possibility of presenting the festival later this year, subject to stronger market conditions, increased sponsorship support, and renewed audience demand. We remain committed to delivering the festival that reggae fans in Sri Lanka deserve and will share further updates when plans are confirmed.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the artists, sponsors who stood with us, vendors, production teams, media partners, volunteers, and every single person who believed in this vision. Most importantly, we thank our ticket holders and supporters for their trust, patience, and encouragement.

While this chapter closes sooner than we had hoped, our passion for reggae music, unity, and positive vibrations remains stronger than ever. We believe this is a postponement of a vision—not the end of it.
